IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Is truth relative

Is truth relative, a matter of opinion?

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

John 18:37-38

There is objective truth, and what you are asking about, subjective. In the above verses there is objective truth spoken by God manifested in the flesh and rejected by a man who lived his life in the subjective truth of a politician where with every new emperor or governor the truth changed.

God’s word, the Bible, is objective, actual, truth. Then there is the world that lives in the subjective truth of men whose truth is whatever profits them.
