DSA’s National Platform
The Democratic Socialists of America’s current program is titled “Workers Deserve More”. Here are its main planks (grouped by the program’s three sections):
Thriving Working Class Communities
- Freedom to Flourish: Expand public resources; paid family leave; 32-hour work week with full pay/benefits; living minimum wage; free quality public education (pre-K to college); cancel student debt.
- Healthcare For All: Universal healthcare at no cost, including reproductive and gender-affirming care; invest in public hospitals/clinics; make medical education/training public and free.
- Housing For All: Publicly owned social housing; strict regulation of investment properties; universal rent control; right to counsel for all tenants.
- Finish Reconstruction: End legacies of slavery/colonialism; reinforce anti-discrimination laws; honor treaties/tribal sovereignty; reparations and major investments in jobs/housing/infrastructure in neglected minority communities.
- End Mass Incarceration and Police Immunity: Demilitarize police; disempower police unions; redirect funds to public services; work toward abolishing police/prison system; treat addiction/mental illness as health issues; end qualified immunity; empower civilian oversight with real authority.
- Feminism For All: Socialist feminism focused on queer liberation and working-class women; oppose policies restricting bodily autonomy (including abortion/child raising/gender expression/transition, etc.); ban sex discrimination and ensure fair compensation/support for care work.
- Green New Deal: Democratic transition to a green future; federal jobs guarantee; massive investment in sustainable, publicly owned energy/transit; phase out fossil fuels.
Working-class Foreign Policy
- End The U.S. War Machine: Defund the Department of War; end foreign wars; close overseas bases; support/fully employ veterans; end immunity for U.S. war criminals; support ICC prosecution of war crimes.
- Free Palestine: Recognize Palestinian rights (including right of return, right to resist occupation, self-determination); free Palestine with Jerusalem as capital; end all military/economic aid to Israel; prosecute responsible U.S./Israeli leaders for Gaza genocide.
- End Blockades, Embargoes, and Sanctions: End U.S. economic warfare against countries acting independently (e.g., Cuba, Venezuela, Iran).
- Abolish ICE: End ICE detention/deportations and punish brutality; legalize migration; amnesty regardless of status; path to citizenship for permanent residents; end visa caps/quotas.
Working-class Democracy
- Democracy For All: Extend full voting rights to all permanent residents; restore voting rights for incarcerated people and people with criminal convictions; statehood for D.C.; self-determination for territories/colonies; expand/protect voting rights and end voter suppression.
- A Real Democracy: End corruption/lobbying/dark money/Citizens United; publicly finance elections; abolish the Electoral College; replace President and Supreme Court with branches chosen by and subordinate to Congress.
- A Democratic Congress: Replace two-party system with multi-party democracy; expand the House; use proportional representation and ranked-choice voting; abolish the Senate.
- Economic Democracy: Public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries; aggressive wealth taxes on the richest and corporations to fund public goods/infrastructure.
- Democracy At Work: Empower workers to fight the boss; protect/expand/enforce union rights to form/join/strike; support democratizing union structures (e.g., reform caucuses) and political action.

Wake Up America
America can be fixed without the need of enslaving ourselves to a Marxist dictatorship. If only the people would wake and do their part is governing the nation. One example: Distribution of wealth. Institute mandatory profit sharing. If we can legislate minimum wages, we can legislate minimum profit sharing. Works should get a profit sharing check every quarter (every three months).
This would end most labor disputes, everyone would be working to make the company more profitable. This would also stimulate the economy.
The people just have to demand it of their government to implement such.
