A Fellowship in Christ Jesus,
IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

1 Timothy 2:11-15

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence13For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Timothy 2:11-15

This is part of the curse placed upon mankind at the time of the fall.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

It was therefore incorporated into the law.

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

Paul covers this in several books, which would indicate it was a topic of wide interest.

Titus 2:3-5 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5o be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

1 Corinthians 11:9 KJV Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

Many of the historical accounts are graphic representations of spiritual events. Much of Scriptures being similitudes, they transcend all historical and cultural limitations; that is, the commandments, doctrines, and lessons of the Bible are eternal, as applicable today as when they were written. Its teachings cannot be dismissed on the tenuous excuse of historical progress or cultural bias. The times and cultures for the settings of the lessons of scripture were well-chosen by God to convey his exact meaning. These teachings stand at any time in history; man has not evolved to greater truths but has fallen away from the truth.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

It is with the greatest regret that I must apologize to the women of the world for men having totally misread, misinterpreted, and misapplied these commandments. Applying the law of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, men have to ask themselves, Would you want to be treated like you treat your wife? Would you want your head to treat you like a doormat or a slave to be used and abused?

Those commandments are given to women. You will notice there is no provision for a man to force her to obey them. The best that a man can do is try and make it so she wants to do so with joy and gladness.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Husband, first love your wives.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Marriage is a picture of the relationship of Christ and the Church.

Ephesians 5:31-33 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church33Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

It would be a good idea husbands if you attempted to make yourself worthy of that reverence.

1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

This is speaking of an easing of the curse.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The pain of childbirth is referenced throughout the Bible.

Jeremiah 13:21 What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?

Isaiah 21:3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.

Why don’t modern churches apply this today?

Most modern Churches are Bible rejecters.

This is briefly what I think is correct. I am sure much more could be said, but it would all be contingent on the above.
