All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Isaiah 6:10

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Isaiah 6:10

God has determined that divine things should enter through the heart into the mind, and not through the mind into the heart. In divine things, therefore, it is necessary to love them in order to know them.

Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) Christian, Mathematician, Physicist

The people rejected God in their hearts and sought out and worship idols committing unspeakable horrors in doing so (burning their children alive in sacrifice). God requires faith from the heart to take knowledge to the head. God is saying he is blocking that head knowledge least it lead to the heart being converted; the heart must be converted first.

If God wanted to save the world based on knowledge, he would just pull back the heavens and say “Here I am”. What God wants is for us to come to him with a humble heart in faith toward him leading to a relationship and understanding.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith and belief first then seek diligently from the heart to pass knowledge through to the head.
