A Fellowship in Christ Jesus,
IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Literal or Metaphorical?

How much of the Bible based on fact,
How much should be taken metaphorically?

As any other writing, unless you are told it is not literal, take it literally unless there is no way possible to do so.

Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Many things in the Bible although literal or historical fact are still similitudes, prophecies of future events.

Hosea 12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
