It is a scientific fact that you cannot get life from non-life. God, the Word, is life and we get our life from him. The Word was in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Therefore, as the Word was in Christ, He was the “I AM”, just as much a part of the eternal God as the Father, and from him flows all else.
