Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Daniel 8:13-14
It is speaking of the time of Jacob’s trouble, the Great Tribulation. At that time, the anti-Christ, as he is called, will set up an idol, an abomination, in the temple.
Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
At the end of the Tribulation the temple, sanctuary, will be cleansed of the abominations and resanctified. The ten-day difference in the time given is, I assume, the time of the cleansing.
These times can seem complicated, and I admit that I too, need to spend more time in the study of them.
