All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Deuteronomy 18:10-11

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Deuteronomy 18:10-11

Necromancer comes from to seek or enquire at. In the sense of this verse, it is one that seeks answers from false gods, idols, or the dead, instead of the Lord.

Exodus 18:15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:

In this case, Moses enquires or asks the Lord; the word ‘enqurie’ comes from the same word as ‘necromancer’.
