For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:10
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1 John 3:4
Yes, the Bible does state that one sin, transgression of the law, is the same as transgressing them all. It is not the fact you sinned, it is the fact you sin against God. In the here and now we apply different penalties to what are different crimes, eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, etc. However, in the end, the final judgement, sin is a transgression against God; murder, stealing, and any other transgression of God’s law are all contempt of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The penalty for sin, any and all sin, is death.
