Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20
Our wrath, anger, whether justified or not does not commend, reside in, or promote the righteousness of God. Many, men especially, have a problem being short tempered and they need to control it, women tend to hang on to it and let it fester.
To get through anger one needs to realize the above and that their anger is not contributing in any way to a solution of whatever problem there is but is detrimental to all. If it requires forgiveness, remember that true forgiveness does more for the forgiver than the forgiven.
Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
Ask yourself, is your anger more important than your peace and well being?
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
