If you are one that turned to God and trusted in the shed blood of Jesus Christ for salvation from a family of religious Catholics, Mormons, JW, Jewish, Atheist, etc. you would know what it is talking about. You will not be very welcome anymore and they certainly would not be interested in your views or witnessing. Even your family of lukewarm Christians are going to do battle with you if you get hot for the Lord.
If you are going to get Hot and serve the Lord you will have to put Him first in your life.
Matthew 10:37-39 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
The Christian life is Service, Sacrifice, and Suffering, even if you have to suffer the loss of your family and friends.
Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
