Unleavened Faith

A Fellowship in Christ Jesus,
IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Tithing

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 13For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: 14But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 15As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

2 Corinthians 8:12-15

Tithing is not a doctrine of the New Testament Church. Nowhere in the New Testament is tithing associated with believers. God wants much more from us.

The Lord wants us to help one another. It is not a law but a free-will offering. It is according to what you have and are able; It is not how much you can borrow or put on your credit card.

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

God is not interested in the believers being rich, not interested in our stock portfolio, savings accounts, etc. If we have more than we need, we are to help those brothers and sisters in Christ who lack what they need. It starts with your family, street, neighborhood, your city.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

There are two choices: hide behind tithing and preserve your wealth, or let the love of God dwell in you.
