A Fellowship in Christ Jesus,
IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Vengeance is Mine

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Psalms 94:1

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Biblical Christianity, Judaeo Christian ethics, does not allow for taking personal vengeance. We wait on the Lord for that, our commission is to reach out to those that hate God and us for not hating him. Whatever the reason we are being hated, persecuted, or used, we are to love and desire good toward our enemies. Who said Christianity is easy?

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemiesbless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

At this time our purpose is to proclaim the mercy of God unto salvation. God will judge all things and take vengeance when he sees fit.

Vengeance comes from hatred, hatred corrupts the hater not the hated. It is as forgiveness, forgiving heals and is for the forgiver just as much as or more than the forgiven.
