Wear Your Religion On Your Sleeve

Verbum Domini Manet In Æternum
VDMIÆ

The term, “to wear your religion on your sleeve,” stems from the Reformation. In the late sixteenth century those adhering to the supremacy of the Bible over the traditions of church and men wore the initials VDMIÆ down their right sleeve designating Verbum Domini Manet In Æternum; it translates to “The Word of the Lord Endureth Forever.”

D’Aubigné’s “History of the Reformation in the Sixteenth Century”.

Those that have trusted in the vigin-birth of our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus, and that he died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, ought to wear our faith on our sleeves, be public Christians.

Read and diligently study God’s word to strengthen your faith.
