A Fellowship in Christ Jesus,
IN the World, Not of the World

All Scripture Reference are KJV
unless otherwise noted

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

Doesn’t free will put restrictions on God?

You have to understand the extent and limits of our free will.

Men have free will of desire, inclination, passion, aspirations, motivations, intentions, likes, dislikes, loves, hatreds. what we would like to do or would do if we could get away with it. Free will of action is more restrictive.

Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass,
when the Lord commandeth it not?

Lamentations 3:37

We make choices according to our free will. The choice is ours; God predetermines the consequences of the choice. This puts all under the Lord’s control.

James 4:13-15 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

God also chooses men for His service according to their hearts’ desire, an evil heart, such as Pharaoh, a good heart, as Paul, and many others, called to service in the gospel. Many are called, but due to the weakness of our faith, and desires not being wholly toward God, He cannot use us.

Meditate upon this and it will become clear.
