Is it possible to believe in the Bible and Christ
without calling yourself a Christian?

Is it possible to believe in the Bible and Christ without calling yourself a Christian? Why is it necessary to assign yourself to something to have a relationship with God?

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Acts 11:26

Christian was a label placed upon the disciples by others as they were preaching Christ. It was most likely derogatory to begin with but was quickly accepted as a badge of honor.

1 Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

When being a Christian costs you something, even your life, it means something. In most of the industrialized world there has been little persecution of Christians so the name has been assumed and usurped by very unchristian elements so that being called Christian means just about nothing.

As God brings in the Tribulation the heat is going to be turned up on Christians and those that are not true to the faith will shed it for their safety, and it will regain its meaning and uniqueness to biblical Christianity.

As for myself, I am a King James Bible believing Christian.

Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
