Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

God’s Purpose

What ultimately matters most to God?

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 4:11

Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isaiah 43:7

The Lord created all things for His pleasure and glory even salvation.

Psalms 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Psalms 149:4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

God humbled himself before men and suffered shame and humiliation once. He will not do so again for anyone. If your salvation does not glorify God, you will not be given the chance to be saved. If God has to humble himself to get your attention, you are done for. This is why demands that God show you a sign, and you will believe, go unanswered. He has shown many signs, and you have rejected them all.

If it does not please and glorify God, it is sin. Man’s salvation is a distant second, and its purpose is to glorify Him.

Psalms 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.

Anything, thought or action, that does not glorify God is sin.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
